As PM Director, I own our day-to-day product roadmap, and help set its strategy. Managing a variety of product influencing sources, and turning them into tangible requirements, comprises much of my day. I also play an active role in partnership exploration and execution.

Established AOL's Boulder, CO office. Explored patterns and abstractions in the data-layer of mashups. Also leveraged new technology trends (e.g. Ajax) to prototype new web-based applications and user experiences.

Provide evaluation of various technologies and products (internal and external). Advise Senior Executives on technical strategies. Define technology roadmaps and assist in rollout and execution.

Managed a bi-coastal engineering initiative to integrate multiple software products. Managed Gecko Embedding development group and successfully deployed Gecko in several production applications. Acted as engineering liaison between AOL development and Netscape development groups. Part of the Mozilla Foundation creation team. Played a significant role in moving various AOL products to industry standard technologies and models.

Personnel management, recruiting, hiring, promoting, budgeting, and logistics for globally distributed software development team. Technical leadership in high-level product design and low level implementations. Evangelized group’s technology solution (Netscape Gecko) and drove its embedding into multiple consumer products.

Assisted in defining the networking library architecture and provided implementation of HTTP and FTP protocols. Implemented various supporting services such as MIME mapping facilities, content type conversion routines, and ported procedural cookie component to COM. Performance enhancement rewrites of URL parsing and DNS caching components in networking library for Netscape 4.x client product line. Maintained cookie component. Participated in IETF standards body on behalf of Netscape.

Migrated traditional GUI logistics cost modeling applications from desktop to corporate web based Intranet. Team roles included technical lead, test, development, internal marketing, requirements gathering, and project design. Developed knowledge of logistics, logistics modeling, invoicing, and third part contract negotiation.

Provided software training and demonstration for home and operating system product lines. Trained customers on migration from Windows 3.x to Windows 95. Delivered corporate marketing strategy to office/home retail customer base via in-store demos and seminars. Visual Basic module design in MS Access.
