Concurrent project was to use bioinformatics to find candidate cell-to-cell fusion proteins in yeast and produce a screen for putative fusogen candidates. Methodologies employed: Recombinant protein expression and purification, Low pressure chromatography (AKTAprime), FPLC, Gel Filtration, ion exchange and affinity chromatography, assays of enzyme kinetics, cell biology and genetics, confocal and fluorescent microscopy, molecular biology, UV/visible and fluorescent spectroscopy.Departmental Responsibility: Direct departmental imaging core facility and oversee all microscope users
