1. Managed a Health Information and Statistics Unit, with line management responsibility for four members of staff and library budget. Responsible for the strategic direction of the Unit, including management of appropriate Information Technology to comply with the new NHS Information Strategy. 2. Produced detailed profiles of the expected health needs of the population at Health Authority, PCG and ward level. Provided epidemiological advice and support to staff within the Health Authority and other organisations.3. Assisted the Director of Public Health in the production of the Annual Health Report. Produced additional reports based upon relevant health data to support recommendations for action. Produced health indicators for the local Health Improvement Programme. 4. Liased with Clinical Information Analysts to ensure that NHS performance data was interpreted intelligently and in a rigorous fashion. 5. Assisted statutory and voluntary agencies in preparing funding bids, through the provision of economic and statistical data.6.
