A dynamic and highly valued designer, editor and project manager, with extensive experience in brand marketing, Jennifer Vreeland McDermott is a unique blend of all these roles, bringing a special combination of creativity and innovation to any design challenge. Jennifer’s experience in all aspects of magazine publishing has informed and enhanced her design acumen. Editor in chief of Wainscot Media’s Health & Life division of five regional magazines, she knows what it takes to create and build a brand. She spearheaded complete redesigns of the publications and websites, and also launched a new magazine, NJ Fit. Like these readers, she is a busy woman in her 40s who aspires to balance a healthy lifestyle with career-building. Her BS degree in Interior Design and Production Management in Textiles has informed her design and publishing accomplishments. Within her three years as editor in chief of New Jersey Life, she had restructured the magazine, as well as launched two additional titles: New Jersey Life Weddings and New Jersey Life Health + Beauty. Before that, Jennifer traveled widely as Special Projects Director for Hearst’s Country Living, discovering unique places, people and trends to produce and style decorating and lifestyle stories. Extremely media-savvy, Jennifer has appeared frequently as guest host on QVC as expert editor behind Country Living’s brand, reinforcing the brand extensions she helped to create. She has also appeared on two seasons of “Jerseylicious,” the hit reality/drama show on the Style Network. “I am an innovative thinker, creating solutions for every space in the home or commercial business. I’m passionate about ALL things ‘design,’ am budget-minded and able to create something out of nothing. I treat every job as my own; I understand and respect my client’s needs, wants and budget. My 17 years in interior design, styling, print and web publishing have made me the all-around designer of the 21st century.”
