I lead the Fresh Departments at HEB Mexico. Our vision is to be the indisputable leaders in freshness, quality, food safety and innovation in the retail business. My departments include Meat, Seafood, Deli, Hot Deli, Flower Shop, Coffee Shop, Bakery, Specialized Foods, Sushi, Tortillería and Produce. I direct procurement, quality control, marketing, strategic development and execution, budgeting and performance follow up, R&D and pricing strategy. My responsibilities include the development of manufacturing plants for the future growth.

Carnetec is the only meat magazine written in Spanish designed only for Latin America and Brazil. Its technical content has been the solely resource of meat knowledge for all latinamerican countries.

Besides being an associate professor (50%), I was also in research and extension (50% appointment).

I worked full time for several Cow Calf Operations and consulted several Feedlots around the Monterrey Area.
