Served as the Director of the entire San Diego operation. Primary responsibilities were as follows:• Strategic: focused on the continuous refining and implementation of the firm’s vision and strategic plan throughout San Diego and Southern California.• Responsible for growing the San Diego practice by 67% in the last 3 years. In-depth knowledge of regional market, growth rates, and opportunities to expand business. • Member of the Statewide Management Team, Construction Administration Committee and PBK’s Integration Taskforce Committee.• Promoted and leveraged the internal resources of the firm to maintain consistency in the delivery of the best client service possible. • Operational: responsible for the delivery of services, development of culture, and the execution of processes within the offices. Overseeing client relations, including project team performance and overall client satisfaction.• Responsible for managing the financial performance of the office with respect to staffing, projections, and profitability. • Continuously developing and refining the tools and systems to track and report staffing, project performance, and technical processes. • Responsible for implementation of QA/QC processes for all projects. • Marketing and Business Development: responsible for establishing and cultivating relationships and new opportunities by working closely with the firm’s marketing and business development departments.• Played a key role in the regional business development plan.• Led and organized RFQ responses and project interview presentations.• Participated and engaged in speaking opportunities at conferences and industry events as well as internally within the firm.• Management, Leadership, and Team Building: Promoted and supported the firm’s structure to further develop teams’ strengths and integrity. • Worked closely with regional leadership of the rest of the Southern California offices regarding project performance standards.

Some of these projects established standards for quality design and construction for subsequent facilities.• Concurrently managed the day-to-day operation of the firm while staying deeply involved in several projects at a very technical level both during design and construction. • Led numerous production teams and complex design tasks over the years.• Assisted clients to understand and visualize spaces and finishes through detailed presentations and design charrettes, as well as innovative programmatic standards and unique designs. • Monitored QA/QC implementation and tracking during both design and construction.

• Served as the architect of record for numerous residential projects.• Focused on single family residential projects, responsible for multiple aspects of the practice ranging from project startup, conceptual design, construction documents and construction administration.
