The City of Amsterdam had the ambition to reduce the emission of CO2 with 40% by 2025 compared to 1990. In 2008 the Amsterdam Region Green IT Initiative was launched, resulting in a consortium of public and private organizations that aims to contribute to the city's ambition by:- making IT more energy efficient (greening IT)- delivering smart IT solutions to increase energy efficiency in other sectors (greenit by IT)- developing the green IT economy.

As programme manager, I developed new projects, participated and managed projects, and in general contributed to the goals of the consortium.

As an independent consultant, I provided comprehensive services in sustainable innovation, project management, and blockchain development. My role encompassed a diverse range of responsibilities and achievements:• Led agile teams of 3-4 developers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing while actively participating in open-source communities• Managed blockchain development activities for international clients, including launching a consensus validated sports betting chain and developing four (4) cryptocurrencies• Developed and co-created a blockchain education program with Dutch universities, working in a team of 3• Consulted for Exser, the national centre for services innovation, focusing on public-private partnerships (PPP's) for R&D&I• Worked on policy development for creating optimal conditions for services innovation and business strategies to capitalize on pre-competitive scenarios• Engaged in public affairs consulting for TOPIQ, focusing on innovative public affairs strategiesThroughout my tenure, I demonstrated adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to bridge technical complexities with practical business applications. My work spanned various sectors, allowing me to develop a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking.

Facilitating innovation projects in public-private partnerships with as two main areas demand driven service innovation (at Exser) and energy efficiency from an ICT perspective (at the Green IT Amsterdam consortium). Furthermore, I assisted in creating the ICTRegie rapport on ICT Infrastructure for Scientific Research in the Netherlands.
