EMU (European Masters in Urbanism) coursed both at the ETSAB UPC (School of Architecture of Barcelona) and at TUDelft. MSc (Arch) from the School of Engineering and Architecture of Zaragoza (EINA 2016). I've worked in several offices and university departments in which I've developed tasks in very different scales and project phases, going from design to project management.My research focuses on the reindustrialization and regeneration of periurban industrial tissues, allowing them to become integral parts, and socioeconomical catalyst, in cities of all scales. Since the deindustrialization of a great part of Europe, supply chains have outstretched immensely throughout the global territory, causing huge transport related contamination and recolonization phenomena. At the same time, countries that have deindistrialized have also been generally deunionized, particularly since the neoliberal agenda pushed since Margaret Thatcher's government. Reindustrializing urban areas is a way of shortening supply chains in a completely sustainable manner that may reduce inherited social inequalities.I have presented works related with these issues in conferences like the 13th European Biennial of Towns and Town Planners, held in 2019 in the city of Plymouth.Since late 2014, I have been participating in the co-management of the cultural creation space HarineraZGZ, in which a collective of social and cultural activist manage the conceptual, production and communication projection of a municipal place.This experience has helped me understand the different ways in which the public sector and the civil society govern themselves and interact with one another. This knowledge is of great importance in the participation and cooperation between different agents that is currently (and arguably, has always been) essential in the process of urban development and spatial planning, in all of their possible scales.
