About Jarno Walgemoed
Vanaf het moment dat ik begon aan mijn professionele carrière in de softwareontwikkeling ben ik werkzaam geweest voor (grote) detacheringsbedrijven en heb ik projecten uitgevoerd voor de klanten van deze bedrijven. Ondanks dat de detachering veel ruimte biedt om nieuwe mensen, processen, technologie en bedrijven te leren kennen, voelde ik me veelal niet meer dan een nummer bij deze werkgevers.Door de jaren heen bekroop me toch het gevoel dat dit niet zo hoeft te zijn, dat er toch een andere aanpak mogelijk moet zijn die naast leuke opdrachten toch voldoende binding en ruimte biedt voor (persoonlijke)ontwikkeling.Fast-forward naar 2017 het jaar waarin Stephan Oudmaijer en ik besloten om na veel dromen te starten met onze eigen club, Sourcelabs. Onze slogan: voor developers, door developers – een bedrijf waar mensen zich geen nummer voelen, waar ruimte is voor persoonlijke aandacht en ontwikkeling en waar passie hebben voor softwareontwikkeling.Als werkgever willen wij onze kennis delen en de persoonlijke aandacht bieden die onze mensen verdienen. Wij geven ons team de ruimte zich te ontwikkelen en te sparren met collega’s, zodoende profiteert iedereen hiervan, inclusief onze opdrachtgevers.Wij zijn professioneel naar onze klanten toe, maar vinden persoonlijk contact en humor minstens net zo belangrijk. Wij vinden het belangrijk dat mensen plezier hebben in hun werk, maar besteden ook buitengewoon veel aandacht aan kennisverbreding en ontwikkeling.Onze maandelijkse meetups zijn hier misschien wel het beste voorbeeld van: een dag waarin wij ons verdiepen in zaken die relevant zijn in ons vakgebied (technologie, methodieken, processen). Ook zijn een potje FIFA, tafelvoetbal, racen op de PlaySeat geen uitzondering op deze dagen – er moet immers ruimte zijn voor ontspanning.
