Utility industry corporate accountant, providing a variety of project accounting services and overhead analysis. Furthermore, my role evolved into the generation and preparation of timely senior management and executive-level reports that drew together internal costing data and external supplier reports, to permit executive analysis and decision-making.

I actively managed the operating, accounting and marketing functions of the Cottage Club Hotel.From an operations perspective, I managed a permanent staff of six housekeeping and maintenance personnel. Through constant monitoring, I maintained a procurement system that required a competitive balance of asset and cash-flow management against the unpredictable availability of products and services that are imposed by Caribbean weather and transportation limitations.I instituted weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports to provide ownership with operations and financial indicators on a more timely and relevant basis than the annual financial statements.Finally, I began the practice of arranging packages inclusive of hotel accommodation and diving with local operators, and oversaw the planning and execution of having a contingent of United Nations officials use the Hotel during an island referendum. Occupancy increased dramatically during my time managing the Hotel and clients were paying deposits for return visits in the following season (subsequent to my departure).
