RISsafety is a height safety solution focused company involved in all aspects of height safety; from fall arrest and fall prevention systems through to specialist engineering solutions for all industries.My role at RISsafety is twofold. Firstly, it involves understanding the relevant AS/NZ standards for height safety in order be able to design a height safety solution that is not only compliant, but most importantly is safe. This involves me interpreting architectural plans in order to ascertain the most effective roof access points, roof pitches, profiles, roof structure etc, in order to produce an accurate and compliant design solution. It is only once the design is complete that I then generate an itemised quote, as each roof safety system is unique to each roof. This is a continuous and ongoing part in order to maintain a pipeline of quoted future work. The second part of my role is business development and client relationship management with all the different organisations that fall into the construction industry, including architects and builders, through to HVAC and Solar installers. This is so that RISsafety is at the forefront of their minds and sought out as the industry expert. This involves regular visits to not only client offices to discuss upcoming projects, but also construction sites for live projects.Achievements• Rapid increase in total number and value of new construction quotes

Holyoake Industries is involved with the manufacture and sale of Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment. This includes items but not limited to fire control in buildings, air distribution and diffusion grilles for both internal and external use. My role at Holyoake Industries involved the technical analysis of the products to assist the consulting engineers in specifying the most suitable product for their project requirements. This was done through the interpretation of engineering data and diffuser performance data in conjunction with the project building plans; to ensure that the optimum performance in regards to all aspects of air distribution would be achieved to maintain the most ideal internal room conditions. My position also included high levels of business development, account management, continual quoting for upcoming projects within our region, attending regular client visits both at their offices and also on the project construction sites, project management of existing and upcoming work, as well as time lining the manufacture of all goods required for current projects to meet expectations of both the clients and of the manufacturing department.Achievements• Year on Year growth on Invoiced sales• Achieved Invoiced sales of over 2 million per year in consecutive years• Growing clients spend levels and increasing market share • Building strong working relationships and trust with clients which allowed these clients to grow themselves

Manpower worked across both the Public and Private sectors in a wide variety of industries. During this time I successfully re-established the temporary desk, I was then given the task of completely rebuilding the permanent desk. This involved a total rebuild of the permanent recruitment desk, entailing constant business development through regular client meetings and high volumes of cold calling. Trade and Commerce was a pathway organisation that utilised industry training as a tool to allow for low skilled and long term unemployed to gain sustainable employment. I provided training to candidates using the NZQA framework and pathway them into employment. This was achieved through continuous relationship development within the hospitality industry, strong business development through cold calling, client meetings and attending expositions. Achievements• Transitioned longest unemployment beneficiary back into employment

During this period I held a variety of differing positions within the hospitality industry ranging from Management where I was responsible for all aspects of maintaining the day to day running of a store through to Head Barista, Trainer and Head Bean Roaster.
