Managed org of 30+ engineers across Pinterest's Emails & Notifications, SEO, Paid Acquisition, and Growth Platform teams helping Pinterest grow to 250M+ monthly active users. Responsible for both the technical and product strategy.- Built the performance marketing eng team as a major new channel for growth and scaled from zero to $50M+ in spend and drove 50% of US incremental MAU growth. - Drove recovery from substantial decline in SEO traffic that occurred right as I took over managing the SEO team- Helped drive strategy shift involving legal and trust & safety to shift from using a manually updated blocked term list to using ML models for content safety

Managed team of 10 engineers growing user engagement via email & push notifications. Created product and technical strategy that added over ten million active drove a double-digit percentage of all active users on Pinterest.- Team developed and owned machine learning models for email targeting, content recommendation algorithms, delivery & targeting infrastructure, and the in-product notification experience across iOS, Android and Web. Granted 2 patents and published 1 paper to SIGKDD on the applied ML work the team did.- Grew email & notifications as a channel from 10M engaged email/push users to 100M+ contributing significantly to Pinterest's MAU- Championed and built Copytune - an internal tool to make optimizing strings anywhere in the product (ex: email subject lines) easy for non-engineers. Copytune automatically figured out which variant performed best in each language an would pick the optimal variant for each language.

Helped architect and build our in-app notifications backend and centralized system for deciding which emails and notifications to send users.
