Programs Manager
CurrentReinvent South Stockton Coalition (RSSC) is a place-based, multi-sector, collective impact initiative working to achieve a future where ALL South Stockton residents are empowered to transform their community and address the root causes of intergenerational poverty. As Programs Manager, I manage the work of the RSSC Project Coordinators and oversee the organization’s administrative functions: During 2024, I led a successful spinoff from fiscal sponsorship and the establishment of a new, independent, tax-exempt nonprofit corporation, including setting up fiscal policies and systems; establishing a new Board of Directors and bylaws; drafting employment policies, selecting an employment and HR partner; and gaining approval of a new Employee Handbook; registering with federal, state, and local government agencies; and project managing the Transfer Agreement and fund transfer from the fiscal sponsor. On an ongoing basis, I: * Manage, coach, provide oversight, and supporte a team of 5 project coordinators and support positions, lining up resources and connections to help them succeed in their work * Lead development of organizational and team member goals and strategies * Plan and implement RSSC’s financial and human resources systems, ensuring that all staff and vendors are paid on time, that RSSC’s employee benefits and supports are adequate, and that revenues and expenditures are tracked appropriately for an organization that is responsible to government and private grantors. * Lead RSSC's collaborative Parks Activation initiative to engage residents with their local parks, including project management of a new mural with community participation and launching a new initiative to restore community handball courts * Facilitate new partnerships and collaborative programs engaging community-based organizations and health systems * Administer organizational contracts, accounts & payments, and HR
