As the Auction Chairman I became proficient at: volunteer coordination, training and motivation, interdepartmental communication, public relations/marketing, procurement, data entry, event design, entertainment production, systems development and much more.I developed the vision, recruited the team and created a production schedule for a collaborative team of 25 experts that included graphic designers, IT specialists, data entry managers, auctioneers, printers, decorators and caterers.I successfully planned and managed an event over a 12-year period that annually solicited donations from over 450 local and national donors, staffed and trained over 100 volunteers and sold out to 300 guests. The average yearly income was $95,000 in funds raised on a $20,000 total production budget (475% ROI). The day-of coordination system I developed (from registration to check-out) was so efficient and effective that it opened consulting opportunities to companies desiring similar results when implemented on a larger scale, such as the Evergreen Healthcare Foundation with their multi-million dollar gala.
