My engineering experience is truly multi-disciplined and covers a broad range of client sectors including education, sports, offices, infrastructure and master planning. I have worked with a number of award winning architects large and small to provide holistic, sensitive and intuitive low energy design solutions. Recent work includes refurbishment of historic Monastery, Low energy Multi-use drop in centre for a charity, low energy housing development, design of very low energy Sports and Performing Arts Centre, new Church and community building in Leeds, refurbishment of Grade 2* listed school buildings in York, and replacement of aging boilers and district heating systems at a rural collage. I also volunteer for the CIBSE Yorkshire Region Committee and attended schools careers fairs to promote engineering.

I started as a graduate engineer and worked my way up to Partner and Senior Engineer. After 4 years working on a wide verity of leisure and education projects in London I moved to Edinburgh and help set up the Edinburgh office for Max Fordham which is still going strong. In Edinburgh I worked on a 40,000m2 college building and a number of education projects.

I learnt invaluable lessons in how a modern large building is serviced and maintained. I worked on refurbishment and maintenance projects and ran the main boiler house shut down and refurbishment which comprised of two 1.5MW gas turbines and waste heat steam boilers.
