Will was a Strategic Partner Manager with the Energy Partnerships team and focused on expanding energy efficiency and demand response programs across the country in partnership with energy marketplace and DERMS providers.

Will was a Customer Success Manager at Google, ensuring energy partners had the tools and resources to launch, implement, and evaluate successful smart home energy programs. Will actively participated in TRM, work paper, and evaluation discussions with stakeholder groups across the country.

Will Baker joined MEEA in 2010 working with the Residential Team where he guided the growth of many successful programs including Illinois Home Performance, HVAC SAVE, and Building America research. Today, Will leads MEEA’s core program teams including Lighting & Education, Commercial Programs, and Residential Programs and is focused on growth and program innovation in areas such as training and emerging technologies.

Will is responsible for managing MEEA's residential energy efficiency programs, including Illinois Home Performance with ENERGY STAR and HVAC SAVE.

Instructed two sections of 40 students each in graduate-level microeconomics.Assisted in development and administration of course material. Coordinated logistics for 14 member energy field team.

Supported Arc Finance in the creation of a new intermediary enterprise called East Africa Energy Network to develop small-scale financing for clean energy/solar.Contributed to the development and costing of EAEN product and service offerings, strategic and operational planning, and to the restructuring of the business model.Identified and fostered strategic business relationships with energy entrepreneurs and financial institutions and a pipeline of potential customers for EAEN services.

Conducted a needs assessment and collaborated with farmers to develop and implement new savings and credit program to mitigate seasonal crop shocks.Analyzed loan products, developed training literature and held information sessions to inform several hundred Ugandan women about loan availability and methodology.Coordinated marketing efforts for energy efficient technologies, including improved cook-stoves and biogas digestersAwarded grant from the Foundation for Sustainable Development

Organized city-wide outreach events that included stakeholders from the city, neighborhoods, university and businesses in East Lansing, MI.
