It’s the question that always gets asked…I build and support top performing teams, from business units to individual operations. Different companies, different countries, different contexts – same result. The teams I’m responsible for have been recognized, globally, for their achievements.I don’t have a magic wand to wave. I love what I do and never stop learning. People and culture are important. I prefer working with existing staff rather than bringing in outsiders. From the boiler room to the board room I listen to what people have to say and strive to create an environment which enables people to perform at their best. They rarely disappoint – their results speak for themselves. I’ve operated in some unique and challenging environments, things that the average person rarely encounters. It’s taught me a lot – things that can’t be learnt from a book. Lessons which have been instrumental in developing my core values of safety, integrity, trust and fun, not to mention building resilience, working with ambiguity and balancing diverse perspectives. Through volunteerism my family and I bring the same passion to and pride in the local communities wherever we live. And the question? It always comes down to the same thing “Why? What drives someone to volunteer for such an adventure?” Suffice to say, it takes a special combination of personal traits and competencies to succeed in the environments that I have. It’s a unique mix that hasn’t been lost on employers and one from which their organizations have benefited. If you’d like to know more or explore how we can work together to make a meaningful difference, feel free to get in touch.
