I'm passionate about applying cutting-edge methods from computer science to challenging problems in biology and medicine. Through my PhD and MSc, I've worked alongside biologists and clinicians to address problems in cancer genomics. This has necessitated building novel machine-learning methods that are robust and scalable; rapidly iterating on analyses alongside non-computational collaborators, and developing intuitive and interactive visualizations that are ultimately in service of the biological question being addressed; and constructing pipelines suitable for high-performance computing environments.
