Architect and designer at Hickok Cole working primarily in the multifamily housing department, but with a wide range of work experience in office, single family residential, civic, educational, and destination architecture projects for multiple firms and studios of various sizes. Prior education includes a Masters of Architecture from Columbia University GSAPP and a Bachelor's of Science in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis’ Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts, with specialized fields of minor studies in both urban design contexts and exposition writing.Inspired by all forms of design and enthusiastic to approach design problems with innovative and well thought out solutions. As a designer I strongly believe that the aesthetics of visual design must always be complimented with a deep understanding of the theory and concepts underlying any project. These factors may include all scales of urban contexts, vernacular material and spatial concepts, integrated interior design, as well as geometric and calculated understandings of partitioned space. To me, the beauty of holistic design lies in the notion that no one factor is trivial in the greater scheme of things, so I strive to take as much into consideration as possible when designing. My skills include great proficiency in computer-aided drafting and 3-dimensional model building, namely in Revit & BIM 360, Rhino 6 & 7, ArchiCad, SketchUp, and AutoCAD, as well as excellent proficiency in all major Adobe Suites. Furthermore, I have much experience in hand drafting techniques and hands-on model making for a spectrum of architectural projects. In addition to visual design skills, I possess strong verbal and writing skills, as well a proficient grasp on detailed urban context understandings.
Listed skills include Microsoft Office, Indesign, Revit, Hand Drafting, and 16 others.
