As a Senior Project and Portfolio Manager, my role extended beyond the confines of GIS. In this capacity, I spearheaded projects creating innovative data-driven decision-making tools for public land use planning and natural resources management. A significant accomplishment was the successful launch of the Access Map 360° platform (accessmap.utah.gov), creating an entirely new interaction with public lands and data visualization.In my leadership role, I oversaw and directed a diverse and skilled team of GIS analysts, researchers, field workers, and interns, fostering a collaborative environment that empowers effective engagement with the Attorney General's office and various state agencies. As the System of Record and Enterprise Administrator for R.S.2477 - Utah's largest litigation, I assumed critical responsibilities in managing vital data and ensuring its integrity in legal proceedings.Moreover, I actively co-lead strategic vision and initiative planning, resulting in the development of comprehensive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targeted goals. My role as the GIS Project Manager involved the comprehensive oversight of the Geographic Information System supporting and advising on issues concerning Utah's Public Lands. This included project management, acquisition and management of spatial data, precise digitization and data entry, remote sensing activities, land tile research, and conducting GPS fieldwork. Through these efforts, our team contributed significantly to the efficient and informed decision-making processes concerning Utah's public lands. Within the office, I lead a dedicated team, overseeing all GIS projects and initiatives.My responsibilities included a broad range of tasks related to information management. As part of our efforts to support public land policy and management, I lead in-depth research on federal lands, specifically focused on land tile and right-of-way information. I was accountable for the acquisition and management of diverse spatial datasets, including maintaining a robust Geo Database. Utilizing ESRI ArcMap series, I lead the digitization and data entry processes, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our GIS data. In addition, I conducted remote sensing activities to gather information from a wide variety of sources related to land use. My expertise in GIS extends to the field, where I lead GPS-based data collection endeavors in challenging and hazardous remote locations. This entailed conducting ground truth verification to validate data accuracy and enhance the quality of our spatial datasets.

As a Field Operations and Research Analyst, I played a pivotal role in supporting Utah's land-use research. My responsibilities encompassed a diverse range of tasks related to spatial data preparation and research. I participated in the gathering and validation of spatial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness. This included reviewing historical maps and conducting various remote sensing tasks, contributing information to the preparation of filing documents and evidence in a federal complaint between the State of Utah and the US Department of the Interior.In the field, I diligently carried out data collection and verification tasks, collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure comprehensive and reliable data entry. As a GIS Analyst, I spearheaded the address point model for real estate investment strategies and enhanced decision-making processes. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Utah, I contributed to research funded by the U.S. Forest Service within the Atmospheric Science and Geography departments. My focus was on investigating impurities within the Wasatch and San Juan snowpack, contributing to a better understanding of the cryosphere.
