My role as the GIS Project Manager involved the comprehensive oversight of the Geographic Information System supporting and advising on issues concerning Utah's Public Lands. This included project management, acquisition and management of spatial data, precise digitization and data entry, remote sensing activities, land tile research, and conducting GPS fieldwork. Through these efforts, our team contributed significantly to the efficient and informed decision-making processes concerning Utah's public lands. Within the office, I lead a dedicated team, overseeing all GIS projects and initiatives.My responsibilities included a broad range of tasks related to information management. As part of our efforts to support public land policy and management, I lead in-depth research on federal lands, specifically focused on land tile and right-of-way information. I was accountable for the acquisition and management of diverse spatial datasets, including maintaining a robust Geo Database. Utilizing ESRI ArcMap series, I lead the digitization and data entry processes, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our GIS data. In addition, I conducted remote sensing activities to gather information from a wide variety of sources related to land use. My expertise in GIS extends to the field, where I lead GPS-based data collection endeavors in challenging and hazardous remote locations. This entailed conducting ground truth verification to validate data accuracy and enhance the quality of our spatial datasets.

Through this work I established a spatial database for real estate, ensuring seamless data management and accessibility for the team. I conducted spatial analysis on various point locations, evaluating key factors such as demographics and amenities to assess investment potential. I demonstrated precision in geocoding point locations from spreadsheets and tables, ensuring accurate representation within the GIS system.

As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Utah, I contributed to research funded by the U.S. Forest Service within the Atmospheric Science and Geography departments. My focus was on investigating impurities within the Wasatch and San Juan snowpack, contributing to a better understanding of the cryosphere.
