On the Vision Correcting Display (VCD) Team, we develop vision correcting displays that can modify the presented text or image according to the measured vision problem of the viewer so that the transformed image will appear in sharp focus to the viewer. Developing an iOS application to implement different image transforming algorithms on the iPhone to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of each respective algorithm.

In the Assistive Technology for Cursor Control (Navigation, Selection, Pointing, and Clicking) by Capturing Hand Movements Research Group under the supervision of Professor Brian A. Barsky, we strive to help those with impaired sensation by developing a computer-vision based input system with a camera as its input device. I am in the Simplified Cursor Control Subgroup where we seek to simplify cursor movement by bringing assistive technologies to the web browser. Our current web extensions for Chrome and Firefox have three main features: nearest element selector, hyperlink enlarger, and button enlarger. This semester, I have successfully ported our current Chrome and Firebase web extension to Safari and currently I am working on publishing it to the Mac App Store. Future work includes expanding the extension to make website pop-ups more accessible.

Lead 30+ student group in community service activities (river cleanup, supply distribution). Led student team to teach English to elementary students in Taiwan via Google Meets over six months

Founded EGUSD high school student-led league to nurture, serve, promote computer science to our local community. Hosts events including webinars, workshops, hackathons, and coding competitions. Currently lead over 80+ students across schools in EGUSD and have taught AP CS A Java, Web Development, and Python webinars/workshops.
