Employed as charge nurse for the facility for eight months and was advanced into the role of Unit Manager, for one of the three units in the facility. After only 3 months, the unit demonstrated improvement with patient care by: reduction of resident falls/injuries, decrease in number of discharges to the hospital/Emergency Room, and improved and/or resolved 25% of in-house skin breakdown. Continued working on the unit until replacement was found so I could be transferred to another unit within the building to begin working with staff and residents to help improve teamwork and communication and also build upon the knowledge base of staff to improve overall confidence, dedication, drive, integrity, skills and the passion of staff.
