While working in an entry level position into the beverage distribution industry, I held responsibility for a wide arrange of activities pertaining to the physical nature of the products and brands that our company was responsible for. Assumed major responsibility for overall planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of local health department emergency preparedness activities in accordance with requirements set forth by Illinois Department of Public Health for Henry & Stark Counties in central Illinois. Maintained and implemented IDPH PHEP & CRI cooperative agreements.Integrated public health emergency preparedness activities with county emergency management preparedness. Worked in close collaboration with police, fire, emergency management agencies, and emergency medical services to protect defined jurisdictional areas. Recruited, trained, and supervised volunteer members part of the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) unit for Henry & Stark Counties.

As an intern working with the State of Illinois, I was responsible for coordinating a table top exercise (TTX) for an active shooter in the building. At the time, no plan was currently in place to plan for a scenario such as this. This exercise involved key stakeholders, with various back-grounds, and professions. While I was unable to witness the full scale exercise, I played a major part in the early planning stages of this event that fully contributed to the success of this exercise.
