As the Coach for our school's very first Esports team, I initiated and developed the Esports program for our school in 2018 with the help of our district Technology Coordinator. I worked to obtain funding to purchase gaming laptops, support equipment, and peripherals via our school's CAST grant and local fundraising activities. Since Spring 2019, we have continuously had teams competing at the state level in both the Fall and Spring seasons for the following AHSAA sanctioned games:- Rocket League- League of Legends- Smash UltimateFormer Esports players have gone on to play on college teams, and we have several current players who have been offered substantial scholarships (50% yearly tuition) to play collegiate Esports after graduation.
