Primary responsibilities involve cutting edge research forced on protein surface immobilization,protein A/antibody affinity, inert surface modification and surface chemistry conjugation. Focuseson building new platforms for next generation sample preparation and microfluidic consumerproducts. Perform prototype analysis using instruments including HPLC, UV-vis. Engaged in a fast-paced work environment, cultivating robust research skills while collaboratingwith a multidisciplinary team of experts from diverse fields, self-developing beyond the boundaryof mechanical engineering. Acquiring practical experience in conducting wet lab experiments,LCMS, engaging in bioprocess techniques, and microfluidic designing and manufacturing.

Designed customized posterior stabilized knee implant with SolidWorks, mainly focus on tibial implants. Created drawings for 3D printing. Peer reviewed colleague’s work before manufacturing. Joined the management team for interviewing process.Worked with a large CAD team, cooperated with colleagues to maximize the quality and quantities of the daily output. Achieved a strong understanding of team-working and self-motivating.

Independent study on the vortex-induced vibration of a cylinder under different flow velocities in UMass FSI laboratory. Conducted groundwork on off shore wind turbine study and contributed in Professor Yahya’s research.Performed experiments, utilized 3D printing to create test part, reported weekly progress, collected and analyzed data with the research team. Increased lab research experiment, writing and presentation skills.

Helped students in the department practicing oral Chinese speaking. Graded students' homework and presentation.
