I am committed to the common good and public service and have been working as a management practitioner in public institutions for 36 years. I have performed this role in three countries (Spain, Mali and Belgium) and for five different administrations. I have experience in a number of functional areas (law, human resources, journalism and policy design) and also in various sectors, namely migration and asylum, public health, crisis management, development aid and the rule of law. I have practised as a lawyer specialising in labour and constitutional law. I think I am efficient in complexity and coordination, and I can lead with objectives and emotional intelligence. I have been working in direct contact with politicians for 25 years. I am passionate about politics. I write, publish, communicate and teach about migration and refugee issues, populism and democracy, and spirituality. I also write poetry. I have been involved with NGOs since I was very young. I am lucky enough to have extremely good friends. I am the father of Lucas, África and Rita.
