•Conducted in-depth policy review and strategy development on NC Medicaid’s inclusivity of unhoused population in vital Medicaid health services. Produced a policy memo and presented preliminary results to NC Medicaid Health Equity Executive Steering Committee. Subsequently constructed 37 -page policy review of state Medicaid authority housing supports within 1915(i) state plan amendments and 1115 waivers in four states; and presented recommendations to NC Medicaid executives and Duke University faculty on ways to improve housing services administration.•Facilitated 19 stakeholder interviews to gain insight on strategies to improve statewide language access in clinical settings; including one interview administered in Spanish. Collaborated on summary and presentation of interview findings to NC Medicaid Health Equity Steering Committee to shape ongoing language access policy. •Extensively researched and produced high quality written policy memos, summaries, and commentaries on current NC Medicaid health equity-related policy decisions, including Estate Recovery, Lessons Learned during PHE Unwinding, and recently approved CMS state 1115 Waivers. NC Estate Recovery policy research and memo resulted in Department decision to make estate recovery policy more consumer friendly to NC Medicaid beneficiaries.•Attended, led, and mediated leadership meetings, summarized webinars, and managed various short-term projects to support the Medicaid program with policy analysis and program evaluation. Monitored, analyzed, and reported on federal and state legislation and guidance (e.g., state 1115 waivers, CMS Notices of Proposed Rulemaking, and CMS guidance to enhance federal compliance within the Division and leverage best practices from other states).
