This documentation included a library with the initial identification of defects detected in exploratory testing, a comprehensive test plan with all its elements well structured, the document of Test Cases, the Functional Specification Document, reports for each test execution, etc.- Project managementTo visualize progress and improve team collaboration and productivity, we decided that Jira was the best option, so I implemented a new Scrum project with the following features:Confluence for collaborative creation and management of team documentation.Service Desk for incident reporting to external clients.Scrum boards for efficient management of tasks, defects, functionalities, and tracking.- Scrum MasterGradually, I implemented some elements of the Scrum methodology, such as creating sprints, daily standups, and retrospectives. These practices allowed the team to work more efficiently and productively, resulting in a tangible improvement in the quality of the work done.- Installation and Maintenance of Hardware, Software, and NetworksMy work included formatting computers, installing operating systems and software, and configuring wired and wireless networks, which allowed us to keep the company's technological infrastructure in optimal condition and ensure reliable and efficient connectivity.

Manual testingAlthough documentation was available, I decided to start with a set of exploratory tests to become familiar with the system and eventually continue with integration, system, regression and acceptance testing.E2E automationOnce we defined the appropriate test cases to automate, I developed E2E tests with Cypress and Git for version control. By automating the 1th flow, it was seen that the test execution time was reduced by 45%, improving the efficiency and accuracy of the tests.Testing in branches (CI/CD)With dev, staging, and production environments, whenever a new branch was created, I prepared the dev env, deployed the branch and ran a set of tests. If the tests passed, I did the same on Staging (an exact copy of the production). Finally, the Branch was integrated into the main production branch, where acceptance testing was performed. This increased team collaboration and efficiency, allowing 50% of releases to be delivered without errors.Incident managementI implemented 2 Jira Service Desk projects. One for CS team and another for cases they couldn't solve, which I handled. 90% of cases were resolved immediately and the rest were sent to the backlog. We were able to improve customer satisfaction by 70%, meet SLA response times, and enhance the company's reputation.Backlog managementI worked with the PO to define the “DoR” and the “DoD” to ensure all cards met the required criteria before being included in a sprint. I developed clear acceptance criteria for each user story, using the Gherkin language when necessary.MongoDB databaseWhen a client requested a report that the system did not provide, I generated the necessary queries using Robo3T and Studio3T tools for managing non-relational db like MongoDB.ScrumI facilitated the adoption of Scrum principles by the team, coordinated meetings, resolved impediments and prevented interruptions, resulting in improved team efficiency, productivity and software quality.

Manual testingDue to the lack of documentation, the first step to fully understand the system was to perform and record rigorous exploratory testing. Then I conducted integration, system, performance, regression, and acceptance testing in that order.Test AutomationInitially, I only performed manual testing, but soon advanced to the next level by automating these tests. I started with Selenium, JUnit, and Cucumber using Java and later migrated to Cypress, Mocha, and Chai using JavaScript, while also automating API tests using Postman.Project ManagementUpon joining the team, the project was being managed with Youtrack and lacked documentation and customer interaction. I proposed migrating to Jira because it integrates well with project tools, Confluence is optimal for documentation, and Jira Service Desk provides a channel for customer feedback. In the first week, I successfully migrated user stories and bugs to a new Scrum project, resolving 53 tickets and achieving a 97% customer satisfaction rate.Databases & ETLSometimes data-level errors would arise that I needed to resolve by creating queries in MySQL, Neo4J, Mongo, and/or Amazon ES as appropriate. I also generated reports for clients and created ETL processes using Kettle when required data was spread across different sources.Performance testingI used JMeter for performance, load, and stress testing, simulating multiple concurrent users and requests to evaluate response times under different load levels. We identified that although the system could handle up to 2000 concurrent users, 3 queries were consuming excessive resources and causing system crashes. We optimized these queries, resulting in improved system stability.
