Associate Director
Principal Engineer
Principal Scientist
- First employee at Nurix Process Development (PD) Pittsburgh location and built up an empty leased space into a fully functioning PD lab. I have assembled and trained a team of two scientists, and three interns under the guidance of Dr. Lotze- Lead author of the batch record, principal point of contact and responsible for successful transfer of the Drug.
Sr Scientist, T Cell Process Development
- Devised an alternative process strategy to increase TRuC T cell yield, while reducing manufacturing cost and process time- Led the IND enabling process development studies for the TC-110 program- Lead role in technology transfer including review of manufacturing production records to UK manufacturing facility - Main point of contact with vendors for.
Research Scientist
New England Inflammation and Tissue Protection Institute (Supervisor: Dr. Michail Sitkovsky, PhD)- Optimizing the transduction of CAR-T cells against solid tumor antigens and its effect in mouse models in combination with A2AR antagonists (Industry collaboration)- Exploring the impact of using T cells obtained from tumor draining lymph nodes vs. tumor.
Senior Scientist
- Investigated various sorting approaches to identify tumor reactive TIL (Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes)- Led effort to optimize manufacturing process to obtain highly potent autologous TIL at a significantly reduced cost and manufacturing time- Technology transfer of the current manufacturing process to multiple CMOs and ensured clinical trial readiness.
Senior Scientist
- As project leader for IT-139, devised and executed experiments to prove that IT-139 inhibits GRP78 in cancer cells leading to increased ER stress levels causing decreased autophagy and cell death.- Successfully proved that inhibition of GRP78 expression by IT-139 treatment is correlated with tumor regression in vivo. - Demonstrated that IT-141.
Post-Doctoral Position/Research Associate
- Using integrative analyses (array CGH, microarray and miRNA array) identified three miRNAs displaying role reversal in promoting drug resistance in four different paclitaxel resistant Triple Negative Breast Cancer cell lines. Validated this finding in nine pairs of matched pre and post chemotherapy patient tumor specimens. - Led the pre-clinical model.
Post Doctoral Position
- Utilized direct in-vivo melanoma xenografts (sub.cu.) to demonstrate that cells from patient tumors show intrinsic drug resistance to MEK and BRAF inhibitors, compared to established melanoma lines commonly used in pre-clinical models. - Microarray analyses comparing patient tumor cells to established cell lines for changes in global gene expression in.
Ph.D
- Performed extensive data mining in Ophiostomatoid species and related taxa to study homing endonucleases (HE) withthe sequence motif LAGLIDADG.- My work was the first to prove that two HEs in Ophiostoma can be fused in-frame to the host gene, ribosomal protein 3,without disrupting the rps3, which is unusual for HEs.- The two HEs were patented and are.
