Lead Engineer, QaThomson Reuters Apr 2008 - Jul 2016Greater New York City Area01/2013 – 12/2015 JIRA ProjectI evangelized and managed the entire life cycle of enterprise JIRA platform, deployed on Oracle / Linux platform, across all business units located globally across Thomson Reuters, including over 16K users and 1.5K projects. I presented line of business updates to executive management on a quarterly basis.TESTING: I created and implemented test plans for rolling out new major and minor releases of JIRA to ensure they were compatible with our processes and customization.PRODUCT MANAGER: As a product manager I reviewed the change requests received while working with teams and gathered requirements for them. I worked with the development team on implementation and worked with the teams to validate before deploying to production.MIGRATION: I led the migration activities of all projects that needed to be migrated from different toolsets to JIRA. This included meeting with end-users to understand requirements and create the mapping document, cleaning and manipulating the data, importing and validating data using Python scripts, and providing support and training to new users.SUPPORT: As a lead I oversaw support activities that included over 200 support tickets per month ensuring they were handled in a timely manner. I made sure the support tickets were classified properly to prepare monthly and yearly reports for executive management.TRAINING: I trained new users as well as provided ad-hoc training sessions for existing users located globally. I created all required material for these sessions.DOCUMENTATION: I created quarterly newsletters, including gathering material and editing it, formatting it in a tool called Lyris and sending it out to our stakeholders. I created numerous training documents and training videos that were recorded using WebEx and edited using Camtasia software. I ran Change Control Board (CCB) meetings to discuss all changes requested. I worked with the end-users and the development teams to ensure that the changes were correctly implemented.TESTING: I created and implemented test plans for rolling out new major and minor releases of TeamTrack. I oversaw UAT testing activities including creating test cases, working with the business units to validate changes, and running test cases during production deployment.MIGRATION: I worked with teams located globally to migrate their defect data from legacy tools to TeamTrack which had been chosen as the enterprise-wide defect tracking platform. I created mapping documents, validated data, created user training documents as well as trained new users. I was the liaison between the business units and our internal TeamTrack developers. -

I created workflows for all the development teams without having any prior experience. I successfully scrubbed old SCIM data and worked closely with a database developer to migrate it in to TeamTrack. I coordinated beta testing effort with beta testers to resolve any issues they encountered. I led training sessions and created documents for end-users to understand this new tool.I led QA team that included both onshore and offshore members throughout the product lifecycle of various Baseline / Thomson Financial projects.I reviewed software requirements specifications and design specifications to determine testability. I provided estimates of all testing tasks to the project team.I completed all QA documentation including test plans, test cases and status reports to executive management.I performed manual testing of web and client server applications. I conducted triage meetings to discuss defects.
