    CDD has been running for 11 years with $80mn via Amazon and other stores…That’s not as fun as having your own thing, though.But Conversion “Experts” had burnt the company before. They couldn’t rely on someone like that.This is the truth of the industry. Too many bad apples.When I joined as the E-commerce Director the founder’s vision was fantastic.We were selling bedsheets, only Direct-to-Customer this time.I strategized all digital assets for the website store, product, funnel, promotion, sales, offers, pricing, etc. with the team of geniuses I hired.Everyone knew the product’s pros and cons.Pros — Everyone needs bedsheets. Ours were of fine quality and beautiful.Cons — Everyone needs bedsheets once a year or so. The return rate was low.So I sat down with the founder. We decided D2C wasn’t the right approach, killed our vision and went home.Then we pivoted.
