My main task was to evaluate products by bench testing them, developing test programs using LabVIEW, writing datasheets, giving feedback to IC designers, soldering evaluation boards together. Our group was focused on designing / developing Power Management Units or shortly PMUs and other power products like LDOs, Bucks, chargers etc for mobile devices.My test environment consisted of computer running LabVIEW which was connected to different measurement devices (Agilent34401, Kethley2402, Agilent oscilloscope, T-2800 temperature forcing system etc). I consider myself experienced LabVIEW user because I had to write many complicated test programs (or Virtual Instruments). I also had to solder quit alot and the smallest parts were 1 by 1mm DSBGA chips and 0402 package caps.

Working as an Application Engineer at National Semiconductor I had the same job tasks as later at TI. 2011 Texas Instruments bought National Semiconductor and our group at National Semiconductor was re-hired as workers to Texas Instruments. The transition was almost unnoticed and we just kept doing our jobs.
