Developed and maintained custom WordPress themes, using a development stack consisting of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP;Developed WordPress plug-ins for custom functionality using REACT.js for creating rich user interfaces and Advanced Custom Fields for custom data attributes;Supported external integrations by leveraging data from RESTful APIs such as HubSpot and Salesforce;Performed UAT and debugging tasks for multiple site launches within short timelines;Optimized application performance by identifying and refactoring code, using semantic markup and DRY principles.

Led the initiative to develop a front end component library composed of HTML / Twig, which increased project development times by creating efficiency amongst the development team;Developed interactive user interfaces from a library of preassembled components, using jQuery and modern front end tools such as React.js;Developed custom themes for Drupal and WordPress using sprint based, Agile planning methods and tools such as Composer and NPM for managing project dependencies;Used GIT for centralizing code bases using a GitFlow workflow method, for code collaboration within the development team; Deployed projects to industry leading hosting platforms such as Pantheon, WP Engine and Acquia using CLI tools such as Terminus, WP CLI and Acquia CLI;

Developed a proprietary front end component library, using the Bootstrap CSS framework, for initializing projects rapidly;Developed custom web applications using React.js, for enhancing custom built WordPress themes and their functionality;Developed custom code deployment pipelines using CI tools such as Jenkins and DeployBot, using a trunk based Git workflow;Configured server side hosting for WordPress and Drupal sites, using a LAMP stack;Configured and developed headless WordPress applications using a MERN stack;Assisted with managing timelines and budgets, leading scrum meetings for development sprints.

Developed and maintained a vast catalog of websites for multiple CMS platforms including both open-sourced and custom made;Led pre-production planning for wireframes, sitemaps and project scheduling;Designed site compositions for image optimization;Completed front-end development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and back-end development with PHP, MySQLCollaborated with project managers to complete project timelines;Leveraged SVN/Git for version control to maintain and deploy releases to staging and production servers.

Maintained and built micro-sites for a variety of academic partners. Sites build were used for enrolling prospective and current students, for online courses. Managed site content, layout templates and organic SEO using Microsoft SQL server. Responsibilities included: site maintenance, developing independent, interactive flash modules and creating HTML templates for email marketing campaigns.

Artists for Humanity (AFH), is a non-profit agency in Boston which hires and develops adolescent artists / students from the city of Boston, mentoring them through five disciplines of creative production (painting, screen printing, photography, sculpting and graphic design). My role with AFH was to produce their new website as well as mentoring graphic design students, showing the relationships between graphic design and web. Their new site (at the time) was built as a stand-alone product with included support for eCommerce / shopping, and inventory tracking through FileMaker Pro.
