•Provided support for 10,000+ Linux, Windows, and Xen servers. Executed and documented resolution via expansive Remedy ticketing system, prioritizing issues or change management requests, minimizing impact to customer, network and data capacity, with 100% compliance to tight SLA tolerances.•Collaborated with supporting teams and vendors to perform on-site, hands-on troubleshooting of blade servers, racks, switches & routers (Cisco, Juniper, Quanta, Broadcom, Edge-Core), DWDM (Citrix), fiber optic equipment and cabling, using troubleshooting workflows, network schematics, and manufacturer technical drawings. Gathered data on common failures and work with other teams to identify and track, systemic issues affecting the server fleet or network, to escalate or implement remediation steps effectively.• Diagnosed, and repaired 1500+ custom servers and 200+ open network Linux devices using BMC, KVM, or CLI. Deep diving to core components to perform hardware repairs, firmware reloads, or configuration changes; returning faulty servers or network devices to service to minimize operating expenses. Troubleshot over 500 single-mode and multimode fiber-optic network links successfully, using logs, network scripts, and visual fault indicators to identify bad optical transistors, network devices, assembled fiber optic cables, and patch panels.Contributing to the overall reduction of backlog to less than 5% of open tickets.• Mentored and helped develop new hires with expert knowledge of data center operations. Provided excellent customer service and expedient resolution to clients. Followed strict secure data media handling procedures to ensure customer data protection requirements with zero misses. Developed improvements to existing data center operations tool carts, using the 5S methodology; completed conceptual prototype and selected as part of the global team to implement new tool carts for company-wide operations.
