Write and edit news releases for ESPN PR and for BASS/ESPN Outdoors and the outdoors media industry-leading Bassmaster.com; write deadline-oriented, daily "game story" news releases live, on site at premiere BASS events such as the Bassmaster Classic and Bassmaster Elite Series tournaments; line-edit content of external and internal documents for ESPN Communications, a department of 40-45 people; teach and develop department members in writing and editing proficiency; maintain proper grammar, content within department's media Web sites; manage communications requests for ESPN talent and executive management; manage relationships with ESPN executives and departmental directors as well as relevant media; develop pitch material for national media on relevant stories for media placement; manage on-site public relations at ESPN-owned events and produce deadline-oriented news releases; manage PR for 15-20 ESPN-owned sporting events; serve on Visual Consistency Committee to ensure presentation of all departmental communication remains consistent both visually and in content and format/style.
