We develop smart energy and grid solutions based on battery storage.Our storage systems range from small to large scale.They are able to average out power peaks and support wind, solar and conventional power systems during low energy periods, especially on electrical islands.Tasks included: - Develop / extend a software simulator to reproduce the control hardware in as many aspects / details as meaningful - Write, test and document modular python code - Design generic APIs to parameterize and control the simulator - Handle complex message and data exchange using different protocols e.g. MQTT - Work with big data volumes - Work across team boundaries to instrumentalize the full range of testing possibilities: unit tests, integration tests, system tests and factory acceptance tests- Test driven development / Behavior driven development - Keep software quality at the highest level

At Skytron Energy we develop, extend and optimize available software components for our monitoring platform for photovoltaic power plants.To extend the monitoring capabilities we provide a fully integrated control and feed back power plant solution developed using Matlab.For this we do multi-sensor data processing, analysis and information retrieval (data science).To get all the sensor data we often have to integrate 3rd party hardware (Scada / Modbus / SPS).As programming languages we use C/C++, Python, JS on an Embedded IPC platform which can be controlled by a modern webinterface.To guarentee a rapid development cycle we live an agile Kanban process combined with test driven development and requirements engineering.For our customers we implement project specific options and document our products in detail.Tasks included:- Data science: multi-sensor data processing, analysis and information retrieval- Hardware integration: 3rd party sensors / systems- Software development: C/C++, Python, JS- Agile process: Kanban- Test driven development- Requirements engineering
