Katie was in a cohort of team-members that were so fuelled by their will to leave a mark and do impactful work that they needed no managing, I worked with Katie, she did not work for me. Though Katie formally took on a title of 'UX/UI Designer' Katie was everything between that and 'Head of Product Design'. She was a node in our startup network that shone brightly on her own and enhanced the output of every node she connected with. Katie gathered requirements, held internal process meetings, arranged appointments and met with clients, facilitated user-feedback touch points, designed mockups, communicated fluently with the dev team, and so many other things that I cannot exhaustively list here. From actively understanding the problem space to iteratively working with the engineering team on designs, Katie was there. A simple summary for such a great body of work is no easy feat for me to do. But Katie alongside other individuals at Labnetik were not just 'employees' but the heart of the organization and the driving force behind much of the success it had. I would give a Katie my highest recommendation and am truly excited for all that she will accomplish throughout her career." and "I remember a very clear distinction between working at Labnetik before Katie joined, and after.
