I am a junior at the Tickle College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville studying chemical engineering with a concentration in biomolecular engineering. My professional experience includes an ORISE Research Student Internship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory as well as undergraduate research in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at UTK. On campus, I am involved in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Woods Mentoring Program, the Society of Women Engineers, in their respective mentoring program, and Alpha Omega Epsilon, a STEM sorority where I serve as the Director of Social Events. I also work part-time as a color guard instructor at Alcoa High School, further developing my leadership skills. I am also in the Chancellor's Honors College.During my time in college, I am excited to explore different aspects of chemical engineering, including research, biotechnology and biomedical applications, and process engineering. I hope to get involved in the pharmaceutical and biological side of chemical engineering in my future career!
