From science fairs to research camps, I have always loved being involved in science. With recent experiences in AP Psychology and Biotechnology classes, my career focus has shifted to being all about neuroscience and mental health. Additionally, having to see close family members conquer their own mental health challenges has inspired me to help others struggling with the same issues. I want to find out why people struggle, what causes it, and how to help them. Through my work, I want to find the answers for people who need them and seek the understanding of neuroscience necessary to help as many people as possible.I have previously served as an intern for the Robotic Orthopaedic Institute in St. George, and I was thrilled to learn how cognitions tests are being used in the field to help assess patients before their actual appointment.Mental Health isn't my only interest, though. If that falls through, I am also very skilled in graphic arts! From my CE Design class, I've learned my way around several Adobe products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and I use my skills all the time to assist my family members and friends with design struggles. I was also involved in my community as I served as SkillsUSA club president and as an NHS officer, as well as being enrolled in a variety of honors and higher education courses. In 2023, I was honored to be the Dixie High Sterling Scholar for Skilled and Technical Science and was awarded runner-up at Region.
