Working a contract position for GCI Communication as a project manager for their technology solutions delivery team. TS Delivery works with GCI clients to implement communications solutions across the state.

Oversees large scale and/or multiple complex development projects and third-party project management projects and represents the Owner during design, construction, reconstruction and/or renovation of such projects.-Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple complex or large scale projects for the Owner and third-party clients.-Manages scope and mitigates risk across projects.-Prepares scope of work and performance specifications for the procurement of architectural and/or engineering services.-Develops bid specifications for construction and modernization projects in coordination with other appropriate staff members-Conducts pre-proposal and design meetings with A/E firms to explain specific requirements of the services requested, schedules, and design to budgets.-Reviews drawings, technical specifications, estimates, and/or assessment and environmental reports.-Conducts pre-bid and preconstruction conferences with contractors to outline specific project requirements.-Reviews bids for compliance with bid specifications and recommends acceptance or rejection of bids and/or alternates to department manager.-Serves as the Owner's representative in the on-site inspection of work for contractor compliance with the contract documents during the construction and/or renovation of structures and facilities.-Performs construction contract monitoring functions which include enforcing required schedules, guidelines, budgets, reporting requirements and inspection intervals.-Prepares technical, special and routine status reports of departmental activity, as required.-Reviews and/or prepares contract change orders.-Supervises force account work on construction and modernization projects.-Assists in the formulation of modernization and development plans/applications by providing to the Senior Manager of Project Management action plans, time tables, staffing and cost estimates for the work.

Performed Project Management on capital construction projects at the Alaska Native Medical Center Hospital and Health Campus from the planning process through the closing process.Past Projects: -Hospital Data Center Consolidation Managed data center consolidation construction at the Alaska Native Medical Center Hospital. Project involved constructing new data center and relocating existing data centers to the new location. The data center required new cooling and electrical distribution. -Healthy Communities BuildingAssisted in facilitating the construction of 85,000 square foot four story office building from ground breaking through conclusion of project warranty period.

Conducted heat tinting and fracture analysis on titanium and stainless steel spinal rods used for surgical implants. The scope of the project was to investigate the effects on a specimens mechanical properties when exposed to various temperatures for set periods of time. Measurements included recording of spinal rod coloration while fatigue testing. A matrix was created to measure temperature vs. time exposure vs. coloration. Hypothesis was that heat tinting coloration would result on surgical implant specimens that were exposed to heat high enough to alter coloration, but not mechanical properties. The study proved inconclusive that the sensitivity to temperature vs. time could not provide measurable coloration change without changing the specimens mechanical properties.

Conducted non-destructive testing on Tank Farms and Pipelines at the Port of Anchorage, Nikiski Pipeline, Kenai gas field and Cook Inlet Platform C. Testing included galvanic system inspection, close interval survey, tank farm testing, pipeline continuity tests, and marine corrosion testing.

Performed Cathodic Protection services on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Services entailed close interval surveying and non-destructive testing and survey 400+ miles of subterranean pipeline and 1000+ galvanic corrosion systems. Project scope was split into one third of the pipeline per summer. Southern third in 2005, northern third in 2006 and middle third in 2007. Work required twelve hour shifts seven days per week all summer from May through August.
