- Completed PhD through Graduate Program in Neuroscience studying regional pathology within the cerebellum in a mouse model of Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 1 under the guidance of Dr. Marija Cvetanovic- Thesis research involved multiple molecular techniques to quantify cerebellar neurodegeneration in mouse models of the neurodegenerative disease of Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 1 (SCA1). Utilized RNAsequencing, RTqPCR, and immunohisotchemistry to quantify disease progression and regional differences in wild-type and SCA1 mice. Developed novel regional dissection protocol to assess separate regions of mouse cerebellum. - Experience includes designing and running multi-step protocols ensuring reproducible results and viable sample products. Developing and running critical data analysis. Writing scientific publications.

Assisted professor in the set up of microbiology labs each week. Made cell growth cultures using sterile technique. Autoclaved and sterilized dirty and used lab equipment. Kept lab clean and organized.

I worked as a day camp counselor for the summer of 2011. During the academic year, I ran and organized birthday parties for kids ranging from four to eleven. I also ran a floor hockey clinic, soccer skills clinic, and taught swim lessons.
