Summer Research TraineeshipKungliga Tekniska Högskolan Jun 2021 - Aug 2021Project in the Environmental Genetics group at KTH (lead by Anders Andersson), supervised by Meike Latz. Analysis of Baltic Sea 18S metabarcoding dataset in context of spatiotemporal changes, physicochemical metadata and microscopy-based taxonomy counts. The analysis started with sequencing output provided by a core facility and has been mainly performed in R. It involved general data exploration/analysis tools (ex. tidyverse), as well as more field-specific ones (ex. DADA2 and vegan packages). -
Student AssistantKarolinska Institutet Nov 2020 - May 2021Affiliated to Sandberg Lab. Was involved in a high-throughput compound screening project deploying NASCseq and Smart-seq3xpress development. The main focus laid on automation, setting up in-house protocols for Opentrons' OT-2 and MGISP-960 pipetting robots. In both cases Python-based API provided by producer was used to program the actions performed by the robot. -
Amgen ScholarKarolinska Institutet Jun 2019 - Sep 2019Sztokholm, SzwecjaProject under supervision of Veronika Krmeska and co-supervision of Antonio Rothfuchs. The title of the project was "Effect of Vaccinia virus and mycobacteria on dendritic cell migration to draining lymph node". Used methods included RNA isolation from mice tissue, qPCR, FACS, immunostaining and confocal fluorescent microscopy. Presented the results orally, in form of a poster and a report. The program ended with symposium at the University of Cambridge. -
