Research project in partnership with Ridley Corporation: Microencapsulation of bioactive ingredients for inclusion into aquaculture feed.

• Synthesis of solid lipid nanoparticles via double emulsion with the drug DETC, in order to do in vitro studies. • Manipulation of drugs and SOPs, attention to detail and writing technical reports were essential skills that were brought to the role. • In joint work, I published an article in a renowned scientific journal, as the first author: Mazur et al. (2019) Diethyldithiocarbamate loaded in beeswax-copaiba oil nanoparticles obtained by solvent less double emulsion technique promote promastigote death in vitro. • I was responsible for analysing the reports issued by the companies that deposited waste at the landfill, within the permitted regulations and in compliance with industry standards. • I was accountable for monitoring and analysing (expedited trials) solid waste. Household and Industrial Solid Waste Management Class IIA and Class IIB.

• At this time I was participating in a scholarship program of CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Superior Education Personnel) which financed my Master’s project. • I was the holder of the project: Synthesis of lipid nanoparticles in beeswax of Sodium Diethyldithiocarbamate Trihydrate via double emulsion. • I gained a great experience with organic synthesis, nanoscience, manipulation and characterisation of compounds. • Quantitative and quality analysis of the nanoparticles and the samples with the drug were required daily during the process of project ( nanoparticle characterization analyzes: Average Diameter (Dp) and Polydispersity Index (PDI) (Nanosizer), Encapsulation efficiency, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) , Fluorescence Test, Thermogravimetric analysis, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM).• I also earned a background with validation of the analytical method and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • During this period, my research group and I created a operation procedure for Franz cell release and permeation for the drug Sodium Diethyldithiocarbamate Trihydrate (DETC). • I got used to a regular laboratory routine (calibration of instruments before use, sample standard preparation).-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tutoring: Semester 02/2016 in unitary operations B.Preparation and administration of classes, application of exercises related to discipline and extra class resolutions.Objective of the course taught: The content taught in the course was aimed at elucidating in a clear and simple way the fundamental aspects of the unit operations Liquid / Liquid Extraction and Solid / Liquid Extraction, seeking to know its fundamental principles.I am passionate about sharing knowledge and I pride myself on my ability to translate complex ideas into understandable concepts, using patience and empathy.

• I worked with receiving and sorting water and effluent samples for physical-chemical analysis. The analyses were made using Merck Kit, analytical equipments and standard methods. • I improved my skills in supervising, making and mainly issuing technical advice on physicchemical analyses of water and effluents. I developed skills such as group work, meeting strict deadlines for delivering results, and studying and applying standard methodology.

• During this time I was participating in the initiation scientific program of CNPQ (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development). • I worked mainly with the research and development of synthetic flavonoids (Chalconas). • I’ve done synthesis, purification and characterisations of these type of compounds using NMR technique. • I worked with numerous projects where I gained knowledge in extraction and isolation of natural compounds. • In the scientific seminars promoted by the institution, I was responsible for presenting the partial and final results of the research every 6 months, in the form of a panel and an oral presentation, followed by a paper. This role gave me a great experience in writing, communicating and meeting strict deadlines, in addition to the laboratory experience I had gained.
