Coordinated guest speakers and logistics for a graduate-level Ocean Law and Policy course and a 10-week intensive summer course that featured guest lectures by 40+ ocean experts, weekly labs, and off-site field trips.

Designed and managed a research project that examined economic, social, and regulatory barriers facing expansion of offshore finfish aquaculture in U.S. federal waters. Analyzed NOAA foreign fisheries data for Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch. Selected to represent SIO at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change 24th Conference of Parties (COP 24) in Katowice, Poland as a member of the University of California delegation.

Developed a marine science curriculum packet using citizen science program Marine Protected Area (MPA) Watch as a tool to teach students about marine protected areas and ocean stewardship. Visited five pilot programs throughout the state; trained instructors at each site to implement the curriculum and involve their program participants in MPA Watch.

Directed a nonprofit residential outdoor education program that served up to 100 students at a time and thousands of students every year. Year-round programming included residential science camps for public and private schools (grades 4-12), professional development opportunities for teachers, and multi-week adventure trips for high school students. My responsibilities included hiring/training/managing teams of seasonal educators, marketing, budgeting, booking clients, creating program schedules, building and maintaining the website, writing curriculum, and more.

Supervised a staff of 10 counselors and three program coordinators. Oversaw logistics for all onsite and offsite summer programs. Planned and led teen adventure trips, including three 10-day road trips around northern California, a 7-day backpacking trip in the Sierras, and a 10-day trip to Hawaii.
