Authored spacecraft level documentation including Space Vehicle Handbook, On Orbit Handbook, Mission CONOPS, and Space to Ground ICD.Space Vehicle Lead Engineer (Aug 2017 – Jan 2020). Supervised AI&T team during final integration of flight hardware and pre-environmental testing. Daily customer contact over project status. Designed and executed spacecraft functional testing and failure modes testing. After launch, performed spacecraft analysis and trending with weekly customer reviews. Upon loss of contact with spacecraft, lead Anomaly Review Team in recovery options, investigation into spacecraft failures, and authored failure reports for both spacecraft. Assisted with recommended design improvements for follow-on mission and performed payload analysis to inform follow-on capabilities.Mission Operations Lead (Aug –Dec 2018)Designed and lead rehearsal training for operators. Coordinated mission-planning efforts and authored Operation Procedure Handbook, Support Plan, Locate and Acquire Procedure, and Bus Checkout Procedure. Scheduled personnel for shifts. Coordinated testing of ground software and hardware. Executed Mission Readiness Review. Effort culminated in successful acquisition of both spacecraft within 24 hours of launch. Near-daily contact with customer over spacecraft status after launch.DHS Polar Scout Spacecraft Operator (Dec 2018 – April 2019)Executed spacecraft operations including space vehicle troubleshooting, data downloading, and payload tasking.

Performed physical analysis of scientific data gathered from weather buoys, moorings, and other marine equipment using Matlab.Implemented 3-D hydrodynamic modeling using FVCOM of the Lake Superior and St. Louis River system including creation of a nowcast model that was performed every three hours with results automatically posted to a website and Twitter.Executed hardware and software maintenance and deployment/recovery of marine scientific equipment such as weather buoys, acoustic doppler current profilers, moored profilers, thermistor strings, and ocean gliders. This entailed multi-day excursions on the Research Vessel (R/V) Blue Heron.
