Between October 2016 and June 2018 I planned and executed a 20 month road trip from Oregon to Montevideo Uruguay. I designed and built the custom aluminum bed for the truck used for the South American trip, as well as the steel front bumper and the low-profile winch cradle. I also did all the modifications to the truck myself and perform all maintenance and repairs personally . Additionally, I did the solar, charge wiring, and battery install for our camper as the factory options were not robust enough for our needs. I'm very confident in my steel fabrication abilities and can do basic to intermediate work with little to no supervision, just tell me what you want built. I'm comfortable with the whole process from design, inventory management, cutting, welding, finishing, etc. What I'm looking for is a shop who may need some part-time help through the busy summer months, but doesn't want to deal with hiring and training a full-time guy. If you've got a big project coming up, or just need help with added order volume, I might be the answer. I'm hoping to find a shop that does off-road builds and fabrication, but I'm open to anything. Especially if it lets me improve my skills with a tubing bender or with CAD.I can email photos of work I've done.I have reliable transportation, my own Miller helmet, and have no problem at all being 1099'ed. Depending on the volume of work and if you'd want to use a 1099, I'll be looking for $20-30/hr. I can show up, weld your stuff, and be gone with a minimum of training and supervision.
