SGCS Collaborative High Reliability® StandardCollaborative High Reliability (CHR) is a term used to describe a set of universal standards authored by SG Collaborative Solutions, based on decades of commercial success in high consequence industries. The standards define high reliability and just culture and provide a means to achieve qualifications and certifications. These standards are the first-of-their-kind to be audited by a global independent audit organization. Becoming highly reliable requires a scientific understanding of how organizations operate and produce results. Organizations are socio-technical entities. (The term socio-technical means people working with and inside systems.) To understand and optimize this complex relationship, the organization must start with seeing and understanding risk, and recognize how the risk is perceived by individuals, teams, and the organization-at-large. In the CHR model and taxonomy, managing risk optimally requires a specific order, known as the Sequence of Reliability®.In alignment with quality management principles, CHR programs, teams, and organizations must be continuously documented, monitored, and measured for effectiveness. To achieve CHR Organization Certification, these components must be aligned and integrated into an organization’s reliability management system. CHR must be independently audited on periodic schedules to maintain each qualification/certification.
