Working as a physical therapist for the last 7 years, I have developed strong communication and interpersonal skills (including but not limited to: educating patients and their families about medical diagnoses, instructing patients how to perform their home exercise programs, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide high quality, patient-centered care). Additionally, since working in home health care I have had to become proficient in logistical planning of my daily schedule, while keeping in mind the patients' availability. Organization and time management are key to a physical therapist's success, in conjunction with a priority to meet that patient's individual goals. I make it my mission to do all of this with a smile and leave the patient happier than when I arrived. :)
