This included development of filters with real-world scaled buildings. I found myself translating settings of materials from Blender to LensStudio and also scripting my own material shaders. I ultimately delivered 4 Snapchat augmented reality templates for location-based, story-telling, and true-scale augmented reality lenses. I also began exploration for simulating real-time lighting using weather and ARKit data for a Snapchat lens integrated onto an iOS application. -
Ai Engineering InternIndiana Microelectronics, Llc Jun 2020 - Dec 2020Indiana Microelectronics provided me with an opportunity to practice and grow from my course knowledge in machine learning algorithms. Despite beginning with fundamental knowledge, the company granted me time to learn more about neural networks (NNs) and general adversarial networks (GANs). All the while, I held complete ownership of artificial intelligence projects as the primary and sole "AI Engineer." Day-to-day, I was exposed to controllable microwave filters, SnP files, and tens of thousands of frequency responses. By the end of the summer, I was able to reduce the calibration time of some controllable microwave filters from 480 man hours to 7 minutes. Additionally, I would go on to write several GUIs for managing filter calibration, SnP files, and Digikey parts.

So, I took a databases course and applied the following year. Working as an intern at Relativity exposed me to agile workflow and collaborative programming on an extremely large codebase. As an intern, I was tasked with using my understanding of computer hardware to improve the runtime of their testing suite. After improving over 100 functional, integration, and unit tests written in C#, I reduced test runtime by 40 minutes. Moreover, I improved workflow by introducing Powershell scripts to automatically conduct common test improvements. Finally, I upgraded a Jenkins pipeline for automatic environment upgrades by introducing a connection to Azure. -

From the designs, I implemented a modular user interface in React Native and a RESTful backend service in Java. Within a month, the software development tasks became so large that the team recruited three interns to assist in day-to-day programming. While Vertabiz allowed me to practice experience design and software skills, it also taught me to better embrace failures and product reiteration.
