Lead Product EngineerAircards Aug 2022 - PresentNewcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom, GbLed cross-functional teams to bring 2 SaaS products from POC to launch in 6 months, boosting their value by 2.3x through inventing 3D analytics algorithms and reducing feature revision time by 70% through code reviews and enhanced task management. Also productized 57 ideas with 170 pages of specs, accessible Figma designs, pricing models, and competitor research while increasing customer support bandwidth by writing 85 webpages of of product and technical documentationAdded a new corporate service offering by optimizing an ML program for 4x faster training and abstracting the program for flexible use-cases. Moreover, reduced ML data collection from months to 2 days by leveraging Unreal Engine and C++ to fabricate realistic data. Continued to advise 3 successful R&D projects, mentoring 2 engineers on neural network designs, training, and runtime -
Product EngineerAircards Jul 2022 - Sep 2022Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom, GbAfter completing my Master's in Integrated Design and Media from NYU, I continued my freelance work for Aircards but shifted from WebXR Developer tasks to a Product Engineer role. For their upcoming analytics product, I formulated technical specifications for 8 product features, communicating necessary UI sketches, formulas, and algorithms in documents up to 6 pages in length. I also ensured product quality and identified functional gaps within the existing product by conducted secondary and feature research. I communicated feedback directly to files on Figma, Github, and Google Drive. -
Webxr DeveloperAircards Jan 2022 - Jun 2022Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom, GbWhile working on my Master's in Integrated Design and Media, my passion and interest for augmented reality development grew while working freelance for Aircards. Over the course of three months, I devised a hand tracking framework in Javascript for web-based mixed reality, I turned to libraries such as MediaPipe, ThreeJs, and 8th Wall, all new to me at the time. Ultimately, I realized recognition for 8 gestures and considered scalability for future gestures by including functions that allow developers to map their own custom gestures. All the while, I navigated challenges that required me to optimize framerates for different devices and consider the varying hand positions and orientations. -

Snapchat Ar IntegratorIncitu Mar 2022 - Sep 2022New York, New York, UsWhile freelancing for inCitu, I worked on translating features of their mobile application to augmented reality experiences in Snapchat. This included development of filters with real-world scaled buildings. I found myself translating settings of materials from Blender to LensStudio and also scripting my own material shaders. I also leveraged my background in software engineering to write scripts for managing user experiences to share information about building plans. I ultimately delivered 4 Snapchat augmented reality templates for location-based, story-telling, and true-scale augmented reality lenses. I also began exploration for simulating real-time lighting using weather and ARKit data for a Snapchat lens integrated onto an iOS application. -
Ai Engineering InternIndiana Microelectronics, Llc Jun 2020 - Dec 2020Indiana Microelectronics provided me with an opportunity to practice and grow from my course knowledge in machine learning algorithms. Despite beginning with fundamental knowledge, the company granted me time to learn more about neural networks (NNs) and general adversarial networks (GANs). All the while, I held complete ownership of artificial intelligence projects as the primary and sole "AI Engineer." Day-to-day, I was exposed to controllable microwave filters, SnP files, and tens of thousands of frequency responses. By the end of the summer, I was able to reduce the calibration time of some controllable microwave filters from 480 man hours to 7 minutes. Additionally, I would go on to write several GUIs for managing filter calibration, SnP files, and Digikey parts.

Software Engineering InternRelativity May 2019 - Aug 2019Chicago, Il, UsThe first time I applied for an internship at Relativity, I was warned that I may not have enough familiarity with databases to warrant an interview. So, I took a databases course and applied the following year. Working as an intern at Relativity exposed me to agile workflow and collaborative programming on an extremely large codebase. As an intern, I was tasked with using my understanding of computer hardware to improve the runtime of their testing suite. After improving over 100 functional, integration, and unit tests written in C#, I reduced test runtime by 40 minutes. Moreover, I improved workflow by introducing Powershell scripts to automatically conduct common test improvements. Finally, I upgraded a Jenkins pipeline for automatic environment upgrades by introducing a connection to Azure. -
Lead DeveloperVertabiz May 2018 - Dec 2018Chicago, Illinois, UsVertabiz aimed to better connect and foster a community of freelance workers in co-working spaces. After finishing my first year of college, I had a unique opportunity to lead and manage a software development team for this Chicagoland area startup As the lead developer, I interacted with the three founders on translating user and market research into user experience designs. From the designs, I implemented a modular user interface in React Native and a RESTful backend service in Java. Within a month, the software development tasks became so large that the team recruited three interns to assist in day-to-day programming. While Vertabiz allowed me to practice experience design and software skills, it also taught me to better embrace failures and product reiteration.
