Directed 120 Security Forces (SF) in support of USTRANSCOM Joint Task Force-Port Opening (JTF-PO) enabling Air Mobility Command’s airflow mission in accordance with JTF/Air Force concept of operations. Manages manpower requirements for 7 Geographically Separated Units/6 Groups/Wing/120 SF enablers satisfying USAF's Mission Capability. Develops/implements/analyzes tactics, techniques, procedures & equipment for 60 personnel/40 tons equipment worth $5 million. Oversees 6 Unit Type Codes worth $9M, 14 vehicles worth $700K, 2.5K sq/ft facility w/974 weapons & $3M+ budget. Develops/implements procedures for initial & recurring SF/Intel training programs to assure capability/uniformity.

Trains nine MWD teams on tactics, techniques and procedures ensuring certification and readiness of MWD's. Conducts/supervises narcotic detection, explosive detection and combat patrol utilization for MWD section. Ensures training records (K9/member) are accurate and properly documented; maintains 3 assigned vehicles. Conducts on-post training/evaluations for MWD teams; ensures the health, welfare/safety of all assigned K9s.

Conducts and supervises required training on two patrol/narcotic and seven patrol/explosive detector military working dog (MWD) teams. Develops, establishes, and implements optimum training schedules for all assigned dogs which include over 50 hours of attack work and 20 hours of detection work on a monthly basis. Ensures training records are accurate and properly documented. Conducts on-post training and evaluations for MWD teams and ensures the health, welfare, and safety of all assigned dogs. Conducts and coordinates all actions associated with narcotic and explosive detection certification by the installation commander. Custodian for the section's explosive training aids, responsible for their proper use, storage and accountability.

Performed duties as Military Working Dog (MWD) Handler. Duties to include physical detection and psychological deterrence. Enhanced installation law enforcement, conducted mobile & foot patrols, protection of funds and resource protection. Heightens physical security and was the critical first line of resistance in air base defense operations. Maintained proficiency of assigned MWD in obedience, aggression, scouting and building search. Performed decoy during aggression and building search scenarios and maintained administrative MWD utilization and training records. Provided health and welfare of assigned MWD through grooming, exercising, feeding and medicating.

Performed Installation patrolman duties, along with the assigned Military Working Dog (MWD), in support of six MAJCOMs and 50 hosted units on an installation over 8,500 acres in size. Provided explosive or drug detection capability to protect the installation and its resources valued at over $15 billion. Responsible for daily grooming, feeding and care of assigned MWD and those within the kennel during his shift. Conducted obedience and proficiency training on assigned MWD. Responsible for correct behavior of MWD with mixed with a base populace of over 23,500 personnel.

Controlled vehicle and pedestrian traffic at installation entry points. Monitors and verifies to the installation and provided information on base agency locations. Notifies proper agencies of hazardous cargo entering the installation. Provided assistance to vehicle operators and pedestrians, detains violators, and apprehends violators as required. Identifies individuals that are barred from base access and those driving on base with a revoked privileges. Provides services to 23,500 personnel in support of 6 MAJCOMs and 50 hosted units. Acts as a deterrent and first line defense for the installation.
